The Planeview microscope line offers a selection of optical imaging systems. The stereo zoom head offers a wide 0.7x to 4.5x magnification range and comes with 10x widefield eyepieces.Zoom control knobs are mounted on both sides. Supplementary lenses and higher magnification eyepieces are also available. Optional Trinocular head (see 725T) allows attachment of many models of 35mm cameras. The boom stand is ideal for working on mounted specimens. The system includes a heavy aluminum base plate, a sturdy vertical support rod and an adjustable extension boom with focusing mechanism. Illumination is provided by an integrated fibre optic system. The light source is mounted to the base with a rheostat and cooling fan. Light is distributed from an illuminating ring attached to the lens. This provides a brilliant but cool temperature light source.
